Claudia Steiner

Saturday February 15 2020
only between 4:30 and 6:30 PM

Claudia Steiner, born in Villach, Austria, in 1967, received a first diploma in Vienna and a second one from the Fine Arts Academy of Venice, Italy. She exhibited the first time in the Palazzo delle Prigioni (the Jails Palace) in Venice, followed by several exhibitions in Italian and European cities. Lives in Italy since more than twenty years.

Having started from painting, she then expanded her interests towards setting up installations and making assemblages, photography, etchings on fiberglass, and more recently ceramic sculptures produced in series of single pieces. The whole venture is aimed at constituting a poetic universe, inserted in imagination and empowered to overcome all boundaries between realism and abstraction. Here she exhibits ceramics and found objects.

The presence of the fragment grows towards the immaterial direction of desire: to connect, to embrace and to overcome. Donata Negrini
