I lavori qui presentati sono dipinti con inchiostro di noci su carta ed esplorano alcuni dei soggetti e temi dei suoi quadri più grandi: icone d'innocenza paiono esser state sottoposte agli esperimenti del Dr. Moreau: un bambino con un pugno chiuso come testa; fusione di due torsi e un numero di arti esagerati; un coniglio con un corpo umano; e sempre adolescenti impegnati in strane unioni con forme adulte gigantesche. Le figure di umani e animali senza viso sono come vittime indifese, minacciate dalla presa del mondo adulto ed eternamente in pericolo di perdere per sempre la loro benedetta ignoranza.

Bradley Rubenstein (1963 nato a New York) è un pittore che vive a Brooklyn, NY. Le sue opere si trovano nelle seguenti collezioni: His works are in the collections of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Detroit Institute of Arts, The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, The Tang Teaching Museum, and The Krannert Art Museum Teaching Collection at The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and The Museum of the Moving Image, New York, among others. He has been the recipient of the National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship in Painting, the Pollock-Krasner Award, and a grant from the Emily Hall Tremaine Foundation.
