David Lindberg

Previsioni e Idraulica

Sunday March 12 2023
only between 10:30 AM and 12:30 PM

This is an exhibition of small paintings I made in Brooklyn NY in which I focused on the movement of color in resin. For each painting I made an initial plan, then with the canvas lying flat, I spread out the colors and let the pigment and resin settle according to differences in weight, viscosity and volume. The colors move for 4-5 hours, and I try not to intervene. They are exhibited vertically.

David Lindberg. Born in 1964 in Des Moines, Iowa, USA. 1998 BFA in art and architecture Parson School of Design, NY, USA. 1989-1997, lived and worked in Brooklyn, USA; 1998-2015 Amsterdam NL; 2016-2017 Milan, Italy; 2017-present Brooklyn NY.
Lindberg uses advanced resin-composite materials and pigments to guide the unpredictable flow of these materials between his first vision and the spreading-out of the materials while they slowly harden. The artworks are uncontrolled and precise.
His art has been exhibited extensively in the US and Europe, in Italy at Studio la Città, Verona, Università Bocconi, MarcoRossiArtecontemporanea and other ventures.

"The matter interacts with time and so matures anarchic sinuosities of shapes and colors, in a patient wait for revelation." Donata Negrini
