HERE INVISIBLE brings together images captured in disparate places and moments, united by the pursuit of a shared state of suspension. Landscapes, architecture, and human figures appear bathed in a full, almost absolute light. At times, when the light fades, a vivid, luminous afterimage remains, imprinting itself upon the mind for but a fleeting second. There are no shadows deep enough for anything to vanish into; everything is exposed, visible, and seemingly decipherable. Yet, this very clarity breeds a sense of estrangement. Places gradually lose their coordinates, becoming spaces devoid of geography. Likewise, the figures inhabiting them defy identification. Faces remain outside the frame - hidden or turned away; stripped of identity and the possibility of portraiture, bodies transform into mere presences, volumes, and geometric forms arranged in space. Thus, the photography oscillates between observation and abstraction. The sea becomes a surface; a meadow, a field of color; a building, a mass; a body, a shape. Color, light, and geometry progressively strip these elements of their function and familiarity, rendering them almost inanimate. It is precisely at the moment of greatest visibility that the images cease to provide answers, opening the mind instead to infinite possible realities.

Isabella Casiraghi was born in Milan in 2001. She studied Visual Arts at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan, graduating in 2023. She currently works as a freelance photographer, based in Milan.
