Follow me

Follow me. In the place of thought that lingers on the margins. Along the unduly shifted boundaries. In the peripheries of action that loses its way. Where hands no longer know how to tie a shoelace without tripping. On the ledge where the weariness of the already old new appears, Where the rules are written by the pernicious. In the prompts that subjectively reinvent History, and become blades of doubt.
FOLLOW ME. Where IFs lead. Where content is entrusted to the clouds that the few gather over everyone's heads.
FOLLOW ME. Where the master key becomes a vector for uncertain steps and frees thought. Find your way. Step by step, outside the frame, to the side. Step by step, just as, hole by hole, I free the vectors from the frame and open to the next step. Since @la_corniciaia has been supplying me with passepartout scraps, I have the right material for a today deprived of color by the escalation of territorial and social conflicts.
For years I've been using the paper scraps of communication; until now, garish with advertising colors, now black and white and on tiptoe. Everyday materials, primary gestures, to express inextricable complexities. I imagine that the three dots... if looked at under a microscope... are composed of infinite vectors with nascent thought potential; like AI, when it chooses one word after another based on statistical logic, certainly not on its ability to sense my discomfort as an interlocutor. Where are we going? The vectors indicate. Just discard and choose. Form and words.
Raffaella Formenti (Brescia 1955, Brera Academy) subverts the final outcome of every advertising message and redirects it into a place of reflection and a field of color. Her expressive palette encompasses diverse media and materials: advertising paper, the web, photography, video, and performance.
A constant in her work is the reference to the Internet, from which she draws terminology and creates paper parodies that restore weight and sensorial consistency to the virtual entities into which we reset ourselves. Some of her works have long been in the ANS collection at the MART Museum in Rovereto, exhibited at various shows, including "The Word in Art" at the MART. Formenti is a woman of few words, but she writes about them online and in artist books, including "Lettere dal bordo di un monitor" (Letters from the Edge of a Monitor) from the Memorie d'Artista series, published by Galleria Peccolo. You can find her online.
