This photographic series is an investigation on the will to fix form in a direction that is opposite to the flow of time. It inevitably leads to changeability. I have chosen the most classical forms of representation, marble Greek and Roman sculptures that time has mutilated and deprived of the original shape. Only a fragment of physicality is offered to memory in a process of removal from history. Gods, events, names are now established in a purely human identity.

Nicolò Cecchella was borni in 1985 in the province of Reggio Emilia. His works have been exhibited in Italy, France and Russia. Grazia Neri, Giovanni Chiaramonte, Massimo Mussini, Marina Cicogna, Carlo Petrini, Emanuela Nanni, Laura Incardona, Lynda Frese, Paolo Barbaro, Walter Liva, Christophe Mileschi have written about his art. Prizes : Portfolio Europa, Premio Combat (Livorno), finalist for Premio Mantegna (Mantova) and Premio Arte (Milano) 2014. His art spans writing (criticism and poetry), the visual arts and theatre. He is a member of the founding team of teatro Sociale Gualtieri.
