Saturday October 12 2013
only between 5:30 and 7:30 PM
For this exhibition I will present 10 to 12 very small oil paintings, no greater than 15cm in any dimension. With this work, my main interest is the challenge of scale, to see how large a space such a small painting can claim for itself. To me scale has to do with internal relationships and not with size per se. A lot of contemporary painting is very large and with these paintings I am pushing in the opposite direction to see if less can be more.
